Annie Sherburne jewellery is truly unique as each piece is a one-off. Made by hand in London, the stones, beads and backs used in Annie's jewellery are largely made from real vintage components that date back to the middle of the 20th Century and even earlier. These components were originally bought by Annie's late husband, Mark, from a man named Wolfie. Wolfie had escaped the German camps during World War II. As the war had destroyed trade, Wolfie brought with him to London many ammunitions cases full of jewellery components that had been made in Czechoslovakia. These components formed the basis of Annie’s jewellery business that thrived in the 1970’s and 1980’s - first in a shop on Portobello Road and then in Kensington. Annie kept some of the best stones and has now restarted making the jewellery once more, creating captivating pieces in a wealth of colours that will transport you to a time gone by.
