Lulu Guinness OBE is famous for designing witty handbags and accessories. She launched her company in 1989 and soon became a "must" in every fashion aficionado's address book. Lulu's strong personal style and her original ideas have played a large part in her success with her design inspiration combining retro glamour and modern chic. Lulu's collectable bags have been described as "tomorrow's treasures" and have become permanent features in many museums, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. In 1996 Lulu was presented with an OBE and in 1999 was awarded The Independent Handbag Designer Awards ICONOCLAST Award for Lifetime Achievement in Handbag Design.
